Where are you located?
Southeast Michigan, based in New Baltimore.
Would you travel out of state?
YES!! I require travel fee’s which we would figure out. But I would love to fly, drive, boat, or RUN to your location! Nothing makes me more ecstatic than somebody having the chance to chose somebody local to them; instead choosing to have me travel to them!!
Do you photograph weddings?
This is one of my biggest requests I get. The weddings I photograph are select, I would need details to see if I am the right photographer for you for your special day.
Do you have a studio?
I do not at this time. I do my portrait work outside, and my lifestyle is IN YOUR HOME, without props, no backdrops, with some outside of the home is suggested.
Are pets allowed in the session?
Yes yes and yes! I love all pets. I have had a family bring their two chickens to a photoshoot before! All I ask is you bring somebody with you, as I don’t want you to be focused solely on the pet(s) because my style is very “organic” and I don’t want you guys to chase a pet, and then turn around to say “cheese”. I like to catch moments as they happen, with little posing!
How would you describe your style?
I’d say vibrant with a healthy mix of candid moments and thoughtful poses. While I do pose my clients, I do so in a way that doesn’t feel forced or non-genuine. As for my editing techniques, I love warm, matte images transport you to a happy time. I try to keep things true to life and do not add fake things into my images. I mainly guide clients to a position. I don’t POSE. I will give you direction, you won’t be at a loss, but you will have true real moments to cherish forever.
How do I book with you?
That’s easy! All you need to do is shoot me an email and let me know which dates work for you. My schedule tends to fill up quickly, so the sooner you get a hold of me, the more likely it is that we can schedule on your preferred date. Once you’ve selected a date, I require a 50% NON REFUNDABLE deposit to secure your session date, which locks in your date, and then the remaining 50% of the payment no later than 1 week before your session.
How do payments work?
I prefer cash, money order or checks. You can mail this to me or you can pay online via PayPal. You do not need a paypal account to use paypal, just a debit or credit card. I also do in person payments.
Do you offer payment plans?
I do! I understand that photographs are an investment and paying in one lump sum isn’t always ideal. My payment plans are most popular with my milestone package, but I will offer them for all my sessions. I prefer a weekly, monthly or quarterly payment plan, but we can work together to devise a plan that works perfectly for you.
What should I wear to my session?
Ultimately, what you wear depends on what you’re most comfortable in. If you are unsure about what’s most flattering or what will go best with your location setting, don’t hesitate to reach out and connect. I have lots of ideas! I want you to wear what you would wear on a normal day, as to not be a stranger in your own photos. Jewel colors or warm colors are always a win! I do send a welcome packet with outfit help too!
Do I have control over what images you share?
I will have you sign a release for me to use in social media. You can deny release. If you sign the release I will post (appropriate) images for promotions/tag you in as previews on Facebook!
Will you come to my home?
That’s my favorite type of session! They are the lifestyle sessions! My ultimate favorite ever!! There will be a $0.70 fee per mile over 15 miles outside my home in New Baltimore, Michigan, which we will know in advance.
How far in advance should I schedule my session?
This, of course, depends on the session type. For example, I think some of the best maternity photos are taken between the seven and eight month mark. Newborn photos should be taken within the first two weeks of your child’s birth and engagement session photos should be taken with enough time to get your photos back so that save-the-dates and/or invitations are sent out in a timely matter. Other than that, when you book is up to you! I do tend to fill in fall / summer the most.
How long does it take for me to get my proofs?
The waiting game is never any fun. For that reason, I try to work quickly to get your images to you. For larger events where lots of pictures are taken this can take up to two months. For smaller sessions, I typically have proofs to you within two to six weeks.
What happens if it rains or someone gets sick?
I understand that people get sick and that the weather misbehaves, so I always plan in advance. If you, or someone in your crew, gets sick, we can reschedule for another date. The same is true for rainy days or non-ideal weather. Rescheduling will be the first day the photographer and client can both meet.
Do you provide mini-sessions?
At this time, i have mini sessions as the choice C on most packages. Keep an eye on my facebook, for possible spur of the moment mini sessions that range from holiday themed, to “just for fun”. End of summer all the way to Christmas I do tend to run quite a few mini sessions (themed).
How many outfit and location changes can I have?
I never limit your outfit. All I ask is that you keep in mind that the time it takes for you to change or for us to move to another location (within the park) does count toward your session time. If you have a larger family or are planning for more changes, it’s probably best to choose a session with a higher time allotment.
What is your favorite color?
One Guess?!
How many children do you have?
3! They are the lights of my life! 2 are biologically mine and the other one I am just lucky enough to get to be around!
