Lets start by answering the question you surely have, “what exactly is lifestyle?”…
Lifestyle photography is just what it says, your life, in photo form. In a “in this life” photo session, i will enter your home after we have talked previously and photograph you at your very core of your life. Your home, your things, your family. we will e-mail and I will ask several questions, a few being – who will be in the home photos, animals, location, and most importantly, what in your life would you want to remember if you lost your memory tomorrow?

I will come into your home and we will talk for a few while you give me a tour around your home, slowly getting the little ones (if any) more comfortable with me. I will get my camera out and shoot as we just sit and talk and then we will walk and do the fun little activities you have planned for the 1.5 hours I will be in your home. I will not pose you, i will be more of a fly on the wall as you do your activities.

If you have an activity you hold dear you do in your home, I will photograph it.
You may think to yourself, why would i pay somebody to come into my home and take photos my s.o can take, or my mom can take. don’t you want your s.o or mom in the photos too? don’t you want to just have somebody photograph as life happens? having me come into your home is a way to preserve your most precious memories. while photo sessions outdoors with perfect outfits are gorgeous and so much fun, these are your moments, your cherished times.

This gives you an opportunity to get pictures of the whole crew. No more “babe – take this pic!” or “come here, selfie!” moments while I’m here. I will include the entire family. No need to look at the camera and smile, this isn’t meant for that!

Are you a single parent, or is your spouse away for a while? GET IN ON IT! I photograph single moms all the time and it just shows their hard working, loving personalities with the children who keep them going daily and the little things they do.
